iPhone 18 colours: every Pro and Pro Max finish

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max come in four colours: Burgundy, Glacier, Silver and Black. Burgundy is the new one. Both phones went on sale in the UK on 18 September 2026. The standard iPhone 18 has not launched, so its colours are not confirmed. If you’re trading up, vendi buys every iPhone model. If you’re comparing with older models, our iPhone comparison guide lines up the 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 Pro.

iPhone 18 colours at a glance

Apple split the iPhone 18 launch in two. The Pro phones and a foldable arrived in September 2026, and the standard model is expected later. That means only some colours are official as of October 2026. This table separates what Apple has confirmed from what it hasn’t.

Model Colours Price from
iPhone 18 Pro Burgundy, Glacier, Silver, Black £1,199
iPhone 18 Pro Max Burgundy, Glacier, Silver, Black £1,299
iPhone Duo Star White, Night Sky £1,999

iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max colours

Both Pro models share the same four finishes, so your colour choice does not limit which size you buy. Apple matches the back glass to the frame on each one, so the phone reads as a single colour. Storage runs from 256GB to 2TB in every colour. The Pro starts at £1,199 and the Pro Max at £1,299.

Burgundy

Burgundy is the new colour for 2026, and the one Apple leads with. It is a deep, dark red, closer to wine than to a bright red. Leaks before launch called it Dark Cherry, which is the same finish under a different name. Pick it if you want people to know you have the newest iPhone.

Glacier

Glacier is the light option. It is a soft, light blue with matching blue camera rings. Pre-launch reports listed it as Light Blue. It suits you if you want some colour without a dark phone.

Silver

Silver is the familiar one. Apple has offered a silver or white Pro iPhone for years, and this is the 2026 version. It goes with any case and does not date.

Black

Black is back on the Pro. The iPhone 17 Pro did not come in black, so this is its return to the range. Pre-launch reports called it Dark Gray, but Apple’s name is Black. It is the quiet choice, and the easiest one to pass on later.

What is the most searched iPhone 18 colour?

Black had the biggest spike, but Burgundy is the colour people in the UK are still searching for since launch. On Google Trends, searches for “iPhone 18 Black” peaked the week Apple announced the range, then dropped quickly. Searches for “iPhone 18 Burgundy” rose as the phones went on sale, and Burgundy has been the most searched of the four since late September (Google Trends, UK, 2026).

Google Trends search interest for iPhone 18 Burgundy, Glacier, Silver and Black in the UK, 2026

Over the year as a whole, Black still leads on average interest. It scores 12, against 7 for Burgundy, 4 for Silver and 2 for Glacier. A lot of Black’s lead comes from before launch: it was already being searched in August, while Burgundy barely registered until September.

This matches the usual pattern for iPhones. Black and silver (or a similar light shade) are normally the most popular colours, because they suit everyone and don’t date. Each year’s new colour also gets a lot of attention, like Cosmic Orange on the iPhone 17 Pro and now Burgundy on the iPhone 18 Pro.

Search interest is not the same as what sells. People search for a new colour to see what it looks like, and Burgundy is the only one they have not seen before. A year on, the neutral colours usually win back. On the iPhone 17 Pro Max, Silver now draws 4,000 UK searches a month against 800 for Cosmic Orange (Ahrefs, October 2026), that year’s launch colour.

Which iPhone 18 colour is best for resale?

Silver and Black are the safer picks if you plan to sell the phone later. Colour does not change what an iPhone can do, but it changes how many buyers want it. Neutral finishes appeal to almost everyone. A bold colour appeals strongly to fewer people.

That matches what we see at vendi. In our experience buying iPhones across the UK, silver and dark finishes move quicker and draw more demand at resale than the bolder launch colours. 63% of the iPhones sold to vendi are black or silver variations.

Condition, storage and battery health still matter more than colour. A Burgundy iPhone 18 Pro in great condition is worth more than a scratched Black one. Colour is the tie-breaker, not the main factor.

iPhone 18 colours still to come

Two more parts of the range are due after the Pro phones. The iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable, is confirmed in Star White and Night Sky and ships on 23 October 2026. The standard iPhone 18 is expected in spring 2027 alongside the iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2, according to MacRumors on 8 October 2026. No colours have been reported for those three models as of October 2026, so any list you see is a guess.

Selling your current iPhone before you upgrade

Your current iPhone is worth the most before more people trade up to the iPhone 18 Pro. Second-hand values soften as supply builds after a launch. Selling early puts more towards the new phone.
